Shepards Staff, Mullein Candles, were used as protection candles to ward off evil spirits and energies.  They are available in a small size, up to 6 inches, or large size, up to 12 inches.  These candles once lit will burn to the base and are often referred to as torch candles.  They are made from Beeswax and have the flowers of wild rose and calendula rolled into the wax.  The candles can be placed in a candle holder, or simply stuck in the earth and burned. You can also use a candle holder with some sand inside to hold the candle upright.  The Mullein was harvested wild in the Rocky Mountains and made with blessings of protection.  The candles burn 1 hour for 12 inches.
